The RISE Awards 2026 recognise an exceptional group of students and teams whose passion, perseverance and dedication have made a lasting impact on RP and beyond. From inspiring leaders and accomplished athletes to talented artists and committed changemakers, this year's recipients exemplify the diverse talents, values and spirit that define the RP community.

Individual Category

RP Sportsman of the Year
Tan Le Heng Donovan
School of Sports and Health
With a strong presence both on and off the court, Donovan has distinguished himself as a key contributor to RP’s table tennis scene. Having competed at major platforms such as the Inter-Varsity-Polytechnic games and POL-ITE Games, he demonstrated resilience, discipline, and exemplary sportsmanship. Beyond competition, he plays an active role in sustaining the team’s legacy through outreach efforts, Open House activities and mentoring his juniors. His leadership, commitment and positive influence have made a meaningful difference to his teammates and the wider RP community.

RP Sportswoman of the Year
Iman Atrisya Iwani Binte Nazarudi
School of Sports and Health
Iman leads with a rare blend of confidence, empathy, and integrity, making her a pillar within the RP Tchoukball team. As Captain, she has cultivated a supportive and cohesive culture that has guided the team towards stellar achievements, such as a leap of three placings to Bronze Medal at the POL-ITE Games and a qualification for the Inter-Tertiary Games. She is now part of the U19 National Training squad. Her passion extends beyond sport, as she actively champions community initiatives. Through her dedication, she continues to uplift those around her and inspire meaningful engagement.

RP Artist of the Year
Mohammad Aniq Haqif Bin Abdullah
School of Business
Driven by both passion and purpose, Aniq has made a lasting mark on Dharma Endari and the performing arts community. From his time as Dance Captain to his current role as Student Advisor, he has consistently nurtured talent while delivering high-quality choreography for major performances. His involvement with Sri Warisan further reflects his dedication to promoting Malay dance on both local and international stages. Through his creativity and mentorship, he continues to inspire excellence in others.

RP Service-Learner of the Year
Tan Yu Ming
School of Applied Science
Yu Ming's dedication to service is reflected in the breadth and depth of his contributions through the Service-Learning Club. From working with organisations such MINDS and Metta Day Activity Centre, he consistently plays an active role in planning and delivery, bringing the same commitment to his role as a now conferred Leader of the Youth Corps Leaders Programme Cohort 37, bringing about positive change to seniors from the Care Community Services Society. His heart for service reaches beyond Singapore — having been part of the Youth Expedition Project to Vietnam for Hearts on A Mission 3. He also strengthens collaboration and mentors not only his fellow peers, but also youths from Secondary School through Project Ignite, fostering a supportive environment. His empathy and commitment continue to drive positive change within and beyond RP.

RP Student Leader of the Year
Gun Jia You
School of Applied Science
Jia You stands out for his ability to bring people together and lead with clarity and intention. Whether overseeing Student Council General Meetings or driving key initiatives like the Orientation Programme Student Training 2025, he ensures inclusive participation and purposeful execution. Beyond campus, his contributions to Ren Ci Hospital and Active Ageing Centres demonstrate a genuine commitment to service. His leadership continues to create meaningful connections and sustained impact across communities.

RP Character Award
Liu Yin Rui
School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design
Yin Rui’s journey at RP is a testament to resilience, strength of character and quiet determination. Despite personal challenges, he has remained committed to his studies and Co-Curricular involvement, consistently demonstrating integrity, empathy, and perseverance. His willingness to support others and contribute positively to the community has left a lasting impression. He serves as a role model, inspiring peers through both his actions and mindset.

Beats Encore (Percussion Ensemble)
Beats Encore thrives on collaboration, creativity and shared ownership. Even without a dedicated instructor, the group maintains high standards through strong peer leadership, supported by alumni guidance. Members actively contribute ideas and support one another, ensuring smooth and impactful performances. Their presence at major platforms, including the National Day Parade, showcases their excellence. As a team, they continue to elevate the performing arts landscape within RP

Floorball (Women)
Through strong teamwork and mutual trust, the RP Floorball Women’s Team consistently performs at a high level despite balancing multiple commitments. The team fosters open communication and shared responsibility, strengthening both cohesion and consistency. Beyond competitions, their involvement in inclusive sports initiatives highlights their commitment to community impact. Their dedication reflects a team that competes with purpose while proudly representing RP.

Student Council
At the heart of many key RP initiatives, the Student Council plays a pivotal role in shaping the student experience. From delivering large-scale events such as the Orientation Programme and Open House to representing student voices at national platforms such as the REACH Youth Panel and Purple Parade, the Council operates with professionalism and purpose. Through strong internal collaboration and service-driven efforts, it continues to make a meaningful and lasting institutional impact.

RP Service to Community Team of the Year
School of Infocomm (SOI) Club - Community Division
With a strong focus on planning and teamwork, the Community Division consistently delivers impactful service-learning initiatives. Their work, including digital literacy workshops and interactive sessions, has empowered seniors and children, engaging diverse participants in meaningful way. Members take ownership of their roles while supporting one another, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Their efforts reflect a deep commitment to inclusivity and community impact.
