Other Overseas Initiatives

At RP, we believe that learning does not stop once you graduate. We work closely with our international partners to co-create learning opportunities and capability building for overseas and local trainees.

The training programmes help organisations and lifelong learners to immerse themselves in other cultures or acquire the skills and knowledge to conduct business overseas successfully.

Programmes

RP also leverages our network of international partnerships to provide unique opportunities for growth and exchange. This helps our part-time continuing education student broaden their horizons and gain first-hand experiences with other cultures.

Travel & Learn

We offer Travel and Learn Programmes that provide invaluable learning experiences that will help participants grow their businesses abroad. On top of getting to learn from local government agencies and businesses, participants will also gain first-hand insights and advice from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Training Programmes

We also partner with other organisations, both local and overseas, to conceptualise and deliver customised training programmes for their intended audiences. Here are two examples.

Singapore Cooperation Programme (Asia)

We are working with the Ministry of Trade and Industry under the Singapore Cooperation Programme, to offer an online training programme for Adopting Industry 4.0 Technologies: Challenges, Opportunities and Strategies for Small & Medium Enterprises in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The programme, comprising of four online workshops and three virtual tours, shares Singapore’s approach to helping Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) navigate Industry 4.0 challenges and opportunities. Guest speakers include senior policy makers from Asia.

Supply Chain Management for E-Commerce Programme (Indonesia)

The Temasek Foundation supported programme completed in 2018 was an 18 months programme to build capabilities on supply chain management for E-commerce for 120 leaders and specialists from State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and designated technical colleges from Indonesia.

The programme focused on pedagogy and curriculum development to build capabilities to enhance pre-employment and continuing-education training to meet the changing demand of logistics, specifically for the e-commerce business.

The participants were the master trainers, academic and industry trainers from associated industries and government officials from Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (CMEA), Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MORTHE) and Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (MSOE).

Tourism and Hospitality Capability Development Programme in the Philippines

Supported by Temasek Foundation, we teamed up with Temasek Polytechnic and the Department of Tourism and Cebu Province in the Philippines to deliver the Tourism and Hospitality Capability Development Programme in the Philippines.

The programme used the Cebu province as a model to develop a strategic direction for sustainable tourism and hospitality, while strengthening Cebu’s competitiveness as a destination for Business events. It hoped to expand tourism by integrating leisure products such as a cultural heritage tourism. The programme was successfully completed in 2019 and saw more than 200 participants from the government, industry and academia.
