This module equips students with the mathematical skills and knowledge required, specifically in the field of engineering and/or science. It prepares students for the challenges that they will encounter in higher year modules within the respective engineering and science diplomas. Building on the skills developed in A113 Mathematics module, this module allows students to apply mathematics to real-life situations such as circuit analysis, signal processing and kinematics. Students will also be introduced to the mathematical symbols and notation that are commonly used. The main topics addressed include trigonometry, matrices, vectors, complex numbers, and techniques and applications of differentiation and integration.
