This module equips students with a working knowledge of current networking technologies in the industry. Students will learn the principles and techniques of networking and communications including physical cabling, network topologies, communications protocols and internet protocol (IP) addressing. Students will learn to design, plan, install network equipments (hubs, switches, routers, wireless access points), and operate small to medium size computer networks, as well as to setup a local area network with the use of these protocols: IPv4, RIP, OSPF, Telnet and Access Lists.
