In today's VUCA world where the future of work appears to be unpredictable, the certainty of learners’ success may be better enhanced when we develop learners to possess relevant, timeless and highly sought-after competencies, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, active and lifelong learning skills. Problem-based Learning (PBL) can be used effectively to trigger curiosity, challenge ideas and create effective solutions. It enables learners to cultivate and develop inquiry skills, integrate theory and practice, and apply their know-how to develop a viable solution to a problem. The process of defining and responding to a problem motivates learners to build on what they know, uncover new knowledge and skills, as well as synthesise and apply their learning to develop divergent responses to a given problem. Our courses below will provide you with learner-centred and active learning experiences as you learn, explore and apply the transformational characteristics of learning with PBL.
This two-hour online course introduces the Problem-based Learning (PBL) approach, where educators and trainers will explore opportunities to transform their teaching, enabling learners to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
This eight-hour introductory workshop on Problem-based Learning (PBL) takes learners on a brief journey to discover how PBL can be used effectively to trigger curiosity, challenge ideas and create effective solutions in educational institutions and training organisations. Educators and trainers will have an opportunity to reflect and review the steps they can take to transform their teaching, enabling learners to navigate the challenges of learning in the 21st century.
This workshop aims to introduce participants to the workplace competencies and skills that the PBL approach is able to achieve in nurturing/creating a problem-solving workplace environment. (Contact RP for more info)
