EIP Team ModuGro wins Best Business Pitch award at Prudential Trailblazer 2019

ModuGro Technologies (ModuGro) from our Entrepreneurial Immersion Programme (EIP) had won the “Best Business Pitch award” at the Prudential Young Trailblazers Competition 2019. The team led by Divaraj Sinniah (Diploma in Environmental Science) from the School of Applied Science (SAS), Divaraj had participated in this competition to validate his product idea as part of his start-up journey through EIP.

With more than 800 student entrants participating in this year’s competition, Divaraj had to compete against the top 15 finalists that included teams from Singapore Poly, Ngee Ann Poly, Nanyang Poly, Raffles Institution and Temasek Junior College. Through this competition, Divaraj had garnered valuable advice and support from various judges/organisers and will be investing the cash award of $300 back into his newly formed start-up.

Andy Auyong from School of Management and Communication (Business mentor) had been guiding Divaraj through this competition and also School of Applied Science staff, Lee Yeow Peng and May Sim (Technical mentors) for their invaluable support as part of the EIP journey.

ModuGro Technologies is a start-up focused on designing vertical hydroponics system that enables anyone to grow their own fruits, vegetable or flowers without soil while being affordable. ModuGro Technologies believe hydroponics is the future of farming and they aspire to be part of it.
