An RP-incubated start-up, Telepod focuses on e-scooter sharing through a mobile docking station. It enables the smart sharing of e-scooters like the bicycle sharing systems available in Singapore. The mobile docks for these e-scooters can be strategically placed at locations with high user demand, such as MRT stations, residential and office areas, and tourist hotspots. Telepod won an award at the national level Land Transport Authority Challenge for teams to create innovative transport solutions.
Telepod CEO and RP Specialist Diploma in Mobile Applications graduate Jin Ni shared “the mentors from the Business Incubation Centre were very supportive, engaging and helpful. They checked in on the team and were always ready to give advice. For example, when Telepod was working to secure our first major round of seed funding, the mentors guided us through the complex negotiation process.”
Telepod has been busy, securing recent back-to-back events with One-North Festival 2017; an event that celebrates everything high-tech in Singapore, and NTU Fest 2017; where they officially announced the new launch of their services in NTU.
