Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance

All full-time and part-time enrolled RP students are insured by GPA. 


All RP students are insured under GPA which covers medical expenses due to bodily injury caused directly and solely by an accident, 24 hours worldwide. It includes accident that occurs outside the Polytechnic or during your own personal activity. It also covers medical expenses due to dengue fever and food poisoning!

Group Hospitalisation Surgical Insurance (GHSI)

Full-time enrolled international RP students are insured by GHSI.

All RP international students are insured  under GHSI which covers treatment for Bodily Injury and Sickness including Mental Illness, Communicable Diseases (such as SARS, bird flu, Covid-19) and other infectious diseases at a Singapore Government/ Restructured Hospital/ Specialist Outpatient Clinic/ A&E, 24 hours worldwide.

Note: The insurer will assess if your GPA/GHSI claim is admissible. Please note the decision on admissibility of claim is subject to submission of all original claim documents and the insurer’s assessment of complete claim documents according to policy terms, conditions and exclusions.

Work Injury Compensation (WIC) Insurance

All full-time enrolled RP students on internship are insured by WIC.
WIC covers students for any accidental injury sustained during internship, and the coverage includes:

  • 24 hours local and overseas attachment
  • Accidental Death and Permanent Disability
  • Medical Expenses for Accidental Injury

Please report any injury at the workplace to the company and your RP Liaison Officer (LO) immediately. Your LO will advise you on the claim procedures.
