EAE Write-up Tips
Your write-ups are your chance to go beyond your grades. Learn how to tell your story effectively and put together an EAE application that truly stands out.

Course-specific write-up (up to 600 characters)
This is your chance to show us you've done more than just attend class. Use it to connect your experiences directly to the course you're applying for.
Highlight relevant accomplishments. Applying for a creative course? Share the videos, animations, or design work you've produced. Let your output do the talking.
Showcase relevant CCAs. Built underwater robots in your school's Robotics Club? Applying for IT or Engineering? That's exactly the kind of experience we want to hear about.
Keep it focused and flowing. A well-structured write-up goes a long way. Try this approach: start with what sparked your interest, move on to what you've done to develop it, then close with where you want to go with this diploma.

Talents and achievements write-up (up to 1,000 characters)
This is where we get to know you beyond your course. Show us the full picture of who you are, what you've done, and where you're headed.
Be personal and original. There's only one you. Use this write-up to let your voice and personality come through.
Highlight your achievements. Competed in an inter-school competition? Led a community service trip? These are the moments that set you apart, don't leave them out.
Include your ApLM experiences. Participation in Applied Learning Modules, whether at RP or another polytechnic, can strengthen your application. Share what you learnt and how it shaped your direction.
Use bullet points for clarity. A clean, readable format helps your achievements land. List them in point form so nothing gets lost in a wall of text.
End with your aspirations. A strong write-up isn't just about what you've done, it's about where you're going. Close with your career goals and let us see the ambition behind the application. Our micro-learning course, 5 Tips on Writing a Career Aspiration, will help you craft a compelling, forward-looking statement.
