Sam Pei Yi, Diploma in Environmental & Marine Science with Merit, School of Applied Science
With a strong commitment to environmental causes and a desire to create greater impact for the planet, Pei Yi translates environmental awareness into meaningful conservation action.
As President of the Conservation Interest Group, she served as the main student coordinator for Green Bootcamp @ North West 2024, guiding youths to develop solutions for food sustainability and textile waste.
She also led a campus‑wide clothes collection drive, distributing pre‑loved clothing to organisations and low‑income families.
In addition, Pei Yi spearheaded marine conservation research on native horseshoe crabs and engaged the public through outreach activities.
Her contributions to environmental conservation have been recognised at the national level through multiple awards and commendations.
