Post Secondary Education Account (PSEA)
The PSEA is a MOE-administered scheme for Singapore Citizens to pay for approved post-secondary education fees using funds from their own or their siblings’ accounts.
PSEA funds can be used to:
Pay for your course fee and approved programme charges.
Repay government education loans and financial schemes.
Students and parents/guardians (for students below 21 years old) can access MOE’s Student Finance System using Singpass to:
Check the current PSEA balance and transaction history.
PSEA Annual Statement of Accounts (soft copy) can be downloaded in SFS with effect from 2027.Set up a Standing Order to pay for the course fee and approved programme charges.
Setting up a Standing Order (SO)
Log in to MOE’s Student Finance System (SFS) using your Singpass.
If you are below 21 years old, you can only view your PSEA details. You will need your parents/guardian to set up SO on your behalf.
A new SO must be set up for Republic Polytechnic (RP), even if an SO was previously set up at another institution.
Select the SO usage for which you want to use your PSEA funds.
Select “Tuition Fees” to pay for tuition/course fees.
Select “Enrichment Programme Fees” to pay for other approved programme charges (e.g. overseas trip cost).
It is recommended that you select both options to ensure all eligible educational expenses are covered.
Optional:
Set an expiry date for your SO if you would like your SO to be automatically terminated upon completion of your course/programme. You can also log in to SFS to terminate your SO at any time, and it will take immediate effect.
Use of up to three siblings’ PSEA. Your siblings will receive an e-notification to approve your request. Authorisation must be completed within 10 calendar days, failing which the request will lapse.
Once the SO is set up, it takes immediate effect.
You may log in to SFS at any time to amend, re-activate, or terminate your SO. Changes take immediate effect.
An e-notification will be sent via SFS whenever a deduction is made from your PSEA.
Fee Deduction Order
If both PSEA and CPF Education Loan Scheme are used, fees will be deducted from PSEA first. CPF deductions will commence only after PSEA funds are fully utilised.
If both SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) and PSEA are used, fees will be deducted from SFC first, followed by PSEA.
Where siblings’ PSEA funds are used, deductions will follow the priority order indicated during SO setup.
You may refer to the step-by-step guide for the SO application.
