EAE for O-Level Students
Get ahead before results day. Apply through EAE and secure a place at RP before your O-Level results are released.

What is Early Admissions Exercise?
The Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) allows you to apply to RP courses based on your interests and aptitudes. If successful, you will receive a conditional offer for your chosen course before your O-Level results are released. Final admissions will be based on your O-Level grades.
Who can apply?
You can apply for the EAE if you are:
a Singapore Citizen (SC)/Permanent Resident (PR) who has registered to sit for the GCE O-Level examinations in the year of your EAE application, or
an international student (enrolled in government, government-aided and Independent Schools) who has registered to sit for the GCE O-Level examinations in the year of EAE application
Important dates and process
The dates below are estimates based on previous years’ admission exercises. Please check back soon for confirmed dates.
June to July: Application
The EAE-O application window will take place in June.
Apply online through the EAE Application Portal and indicate up to 3 courses, which may be from different polytechnics. Refer to the User Guide at the portal for instructions on how to apply.
As part of your application, you will need to submit the following write-ups:
Course-specific write-up (up to 600 characters, for each course) – required
Talents and achievements (up to 1,000 characters) – optional but highly recommended
July to September: Interview and Selection
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview between July and September. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your strengths, passion and suitability for your chosen course.
Please note that some courses may require additional aptitude tests. Find out more on the EAE Tips page.
September: Offer and Acceptance
The application outcome will be released online through the EAE Application Portal in September.
If your application is successful, you are required to confirm the acceptance of your offer through the EAE Application Portal. A non-response will be deemed as a rejection of the offer.
To confirm your conditional offer, you must fulfil all Admissions Criteria.
September to October: Withdrawal
If you change your mind after accepting your offer, you may submit your withdrawal online via the EAE Application Portal.
February 2027: Enrolment
If your conditional offer is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the online enrolment by the end of February 2027. Find out more about online enrolment.
Admissions criteria
To confirm your conditional offer, you must fulfil all of the following Admissions Criteria:
Met the course-specific Minimum Entry Requirements (MER) [PDF, 264 KB]
Obtained a net ELR2B2 aggregate score of 26 points or better
Aggregate computation
Net ELR2B2 = English Language (EL) + 2 relevant subjects (R2) + 2 other best subjects (B2) – CCA#
#CCA cannot be used as one of your subjects to compute the score. Instead, it is used to deduct your score to obtain the Net ELR2B2 aggregate.
There are four types of aggregate scores: ELR2B2-A, ELR2B2-B, ELR2B2-C, and ELR2B2-D.
You are granted CCA bonus points if you obtain the following CCA grade: 2 points for Excellent (A1 to A2), 1 point for Good (B3 to C6).
Notes:
If you have accepted your conditional offer and met the admissions criteria for the offered course after the release of your O-Level results, you will not be able to switch courses within or across polytechnics. You will also not be eligible to participate in other admissions exercises.
If you do not meet the admissions criteria upon the release of your O-Level results, your conditional offer will be automatically revoked. You will then be eligible to participate in other admissions exercises.
