Co-Curricular Activities

Discover your passion, transform your talents into real-world skills and achieve your goals at SOH.

Learning in SOH extends far beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of student development programmes that support your personal well-being and overall development as a young professional helping you to transit into the working world. Republic Polytechnic also has close to 100 other CCAs for students to choose from. Visit our CCA page to find out more.

SOH offers several diploma-related co-curricular activities (CCAs) to encourage you to discover passion for tourism and hospitality, as well as to showcase and develop your skills and talents:

SOH Club

SOH Club is the “voice” representing all SOH students in RP. Be a part of the Club to explore numerous avenues and get ample opportunities to gain unique life experiences. Develop yourself as a student leader and forge great friendships! All SOH Club student leaders are participants of the National Youth Achievement Award Programme — an internationally-recognised award designed to strengthen youth leadership development.

Join us in planning service-learning, school and industry events if you wish to expand your horizons beyond the classroom. Further harness your talents by participating as a peer support leader, organising local and international service-learning projects, or being a social media ambassador.

Peer Supporters Programme

Selected student leaders will be trained to function as Peer Supporters (PS). PS help to build the One-SOH school spirit, engaging SOH students in various school-wide activities like Battle of the Republic Annual Games and the Orientation Programme. PS also serve as peer mentors to help new students bridge the transition into polytechnic life, while supporting current students with their holistic development.

Staff Mentorship Programme

When you first join us, an SOH staff mentor will be assigned to you to offer help and guidance with any issues you may face in school or at home. There will also be opportunities to meet industry leaders and political office holders to widen your perspectives on real-world issues. You can be assured that you will not be alone while adapting to a new learning environment.
