JAE is conducted annually by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to allow Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level holders to apply for courses offered by Junior Colleges, Millennia Institute, Polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

You can apply online through the Joint Admissions Exercise Internet System (JAE-IS). Candidates with 2020 GCE 'O' Level Examination results and are eligible to participate in the JAE will receive the JAE PIN to access the JAE-IS. The JAE PIN can be found in your Form A which you will receive from your secondary school (or by post for private candidates) on the day of release of the GCE 'O' Level results. Applicants with GCE 'O' Levels results from other years, who are eligible to participate in the JAE, will require a SingPass to access the JAE-IS. You are required to submit a request for the system to generate a list of eligible courses, which you will receive 6 hours later, before submitting an application (this service will not be available on the last day of the registration). The 2020 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results will be released tentatively in January 2021. You may submit your application for courses under JAE within 5 calendar days starting from the release of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results. The outcome of your JAE application will be released via the JAE-IS and SMS (if you have provided a valid mobile number in your JAE application) tentatively between January and February 2021 (both dates inclusive). If you wish to appeal for another polytechnic or ITE course, you may do so by submitting an online appeal via the JAE Appeal Exercise within 4 working days upon the official release of the JAE posting results. You do not need to submit a separate appeal to the individual polytechnics or ITE.

If you have Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level qualifications but cannot participate in the JAE, you can apply through the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) via our application portal. Admission is based on academic merit and subject to available vacancies in our diploma courses.
