Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) is conducted annually by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to allow Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level holders to apply for courses offered by Junior Colleges, Millennia Institute, Polytechnics, and Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

JAE will start on the same day as the release of the GCE 'O' Level results, tentatively in January 2025
You can apply online through the Joint Admissions Exercise Internet System (JAE-IS)
You qualify for the 2025 JAE, if you are:
A Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) with valid GCE O-Level results from any year.*
An international student studying in a Government School, Government-Aided School, or an Independent School in Singapore (excluding private schools) with valid 2024 GCE O-Level results.
*Note: If you are a SC or SPR who have been admitted to a polytechnic through the previous JAE, you will not be able to apply for polytechnic courses again via the JAE. If you have a confirmed place in an institution through a Direct or Early Admissions Exercise (such as DSA-JC or Poly-EAE), you are also not eligible for JAE.
January 2025: O-Level Result Release and JAE Application Period
The 2024 GCE O-Level results will tentatively be released in January 2025. The JAE application will start on the same day of the release of the GCE O-Level results.
February 2025: JAE Outcome and Appeal
The outcome of your JAE application will tentatively be released in February 2025 via the JAE-IS and SMS (if you have provided a valid mobile number in your JAE application). If you wish to appeal for another polytechnic or ITE course, you may submit an online appeal via the JAE Online Appeal Portal upon the official release of the JAE posting results. You do not need to submit a separate appeal to the individual polytechnics or ITE.
By April 2025: Enrolment and Start of Academic Year
As a successful candidate, you must complete the online enrolment. The academic year will commence in April 2025.

Before you apply, you will also need to submit a request via the system to generate a list of eligible courses*
