Career Conversion Programme for Sustainability Professionals

As the world places greater emphasis on sustainability, a growing number of businesses are adopting sustainable practices. It is anticipated that a significant portion of current jobs will evolve or be transformed into new "green roles," including fields like carbon management. Career Conversion Programme for Sustainability Professionals (CCP-S) is dedicated to helping companies prepare their workforce for these emerging roles, offering training and reskilling programs to empower individuals to lead and support sustainable transformation.

Facilitated by Republic Polytechnic (RP), CCP-S provides two distinct pathways for workforce development in sustainability:

  1. Place and Train: This six-month program is tailored for new employees, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for a career in sustainability from the outset.

  2. Job Redesign/Reskilling: Designed for current employees, this three-month initiative focuses on reskilling staff who need to transition into redesigned or entirely new roles within the sustainability sector.

Successful applicants are required to participate in a sustainability training program chosen from a list pre-approved by WSG. In addition to this formal training, companies must provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to guarantee that trainees effectively apply their sustainability knowledge in their roles.
