Experiential Facilitation

Experiential learning has become a popular way of engaging learners for the purposeful engagement of direct experience and focused reflection. The aim of this course is to introduce concepts and techniques in experiential facilitation. 

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. State the purpose of experiential learning and facilitation.
  2. Describe the experiential instruction process.
  3. Describe how to hold safe space for reflection and discussion.
  4. Describe the four facilitation approaches.
  5. State roles of experiential educators in various contexts.

Programme Outline

Topics include experiential facilitation processes and strategies, transfer of learning methods, practical tools and tips for facilitating experiential lessons to meet learning outcomes.
