This 8-hour introductory workshop on Problem-based Learning (PBL) takes learners on a brief journey to discover how PBL can be used effectively to trigger curiosity, challenge ideas and create effective solutions in educational institutions and training organisations. Educators and trainers will have an opportunity to reflect and review the steps they can take to transform their teaching, enabling learners to navigate the challenges of learning in the 21st century.
Learning Objectives
By end of this workshop, participants will be able to
- Describe the principles underpinning PBL
- Explain the relationship between student-centred learning and PBL
- List some scaffolding strategies used in PBL lessons

Entry Requirement
This workshop is suitable for educators and trainers. No prior knowledge in PBL is required.
Certification
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 75% of attendance requirement.
