Introduction to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) (4 days)

Unleash your inner artist…in 3D!


Through hands-on sessions, this course will introduce you to basic and practical computer-aided design skills. This includes development from two-dimensional (2D) sketching and three-dimensional (3D) modelling, assembly, checking, drawing and 3D prototyping.


Apply the concepts you will learn and see your art come to life on the screen!

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • create 2D sketches and relate them to the concept of 3D modelling
  • apply 3D modelling methods such as extruding, shelling, and revolving
  • construct engineering drawings from 3D models
  • perform sculpting, rendering and animation of 3D models

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for business professionals and individuals who are keen to learn 3D drawing and modelling.


Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance requirement.
