As we become increasingly reliant on technology, we can no longer be complacent when managing visitor experience and attractions. It now crucial to meet the needs of today’s tech-savvy visitors by developing unique and immersive experiences that go beyond sight and sound. Want to discover the available technological resources that you can use to improve visitor experience?

This course exposes you to the key ideas behind immersive visitor engagement technology, as well as equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the increasing expectations of millennial guests. In doing so, you will learn to produce quality, technology-enabled visitor experiences.

You can look forward to hands-on experiments using technology applications and real-life case studies. Learn to analyse, critique, and suggest alternatives to existing experiences using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) to manage service quality and improve visitor experiences through this course.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be exposed to current and emerging visitor trends involving technology. These trends are mapped to service strategies and models that are aimed at developing a conducive environment for excellent guest experiences using existing technological resources.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • understand the technological needs of the millennial visitor
  • identify gaps in existing tourism offerings and recommend enhancements
  • appreciate the usage of immersive visitor engagement technology and how it can transform visitor experience
  • apply service strategies and adopt them to create quality visitor experiences
  • analyse Bitner’s model and apply it to the creation of quality visitor experiences

Entry Requirement

This workshop is suitable for participants from the tourism industry, and does not require any experience or foreknowledge in immersive visitor engagement technology or its applications.

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
