Republic Polytechnic's Wushu Interest Group (IG) has developed into a dynamic team at an institutional and National level. The IG aims to preserve the traditional Chinese martial arts as well as promote mental and physical fitness to the community.

The members have participated in various competitions and brought glory to the institution. In 2015, Wushu clinched one Gold, one Sliver and two Bronze medals at the National Sanda and Wushu Championship as well as one Gold and two Bronze medals at the annual Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Wushu Championship.

The interest group believes that one can develop greatness of character if they exercise self-discipline and self-control.
