Singapore Cooperation Programme (Asia)
RP partners with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) under the Singapore Cooperation Programme, to offer an online training programme for Adopting Industry 4.0 Technologies: Challenges, Opportunities and Strategies for Small & Medium Enterprises in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The programme which comprises four online workshops and three virtual tours will share Singapore’s approach in assisting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to navigate Industry 4.0 challenges and opportunities with senior policy makers from Asia. It introduces participants to the development and implementation of strategies and solutions to promote the adoption of Industry 4.0 among SMEs. The online format incorporates immersive elements for first-hand experience of remote technologies.
Supply Chain Management for E-Commerce Programme (Indonesia)
The Temasek Foundation supported programme completed in 2018 was an 18 months programme to build capabilities on supply chain management for E-commerce for 120 leaders and specialists from State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and designated technical colleges from Indonesia.
The programme focused on pedagogy and curriculum development to build capabilities to enhance pre-employment and continuing-education training to meet the changing demand of logistics, specifically for the e-commerce business.
The participants were the master trainers, academic and industry trainers from associated industries and government officials from Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (CMEA), Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MORTHE) and Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (MSOE).
Hospitality and Tourism Capability Development (Indonesia)
This train-the-trainer Hospitality and Tourism Capability Development Programme supported by Temasek Foundation International (TFI) shared best practices and strategies on tripartite collaboration among government agencies, institutions of higher learning and industry in the Hospitality and Tourism sector.
RP conducted a series of five training workshops over a period of 18 months, involving at least 148 industry specialists, leaders and senior officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and its National Tourism Institutions.
During the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders Retreat between Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Joko Widodo in Semarang, Indonesia on 14 November 2016, the leaders welcomed the programme with the signing of the commemorative MOU between Republic Polytechnic and four participating National Tourism Institutions from Bandung, Bali, Makassar and Medan.
Local Enterprise Development Programme (Myanmar)
RP and Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) supported by Temasek Foundation International (TFI), partnered Myanmar’s Department of Social Welfare (DSW), Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement (MSWRR) to support and enhance the development of local enterprise in Myanmar between 2014 and 2016.
The first phase of the programme, facilitated by experts from NP, focused on training senior government officials in strategic planning, human resource development, entrepreneurship, corporate governance and sound financial practices.
The second phase focused on training specialists in the Myanmar social welfare sector to support local enterprise development and utilise effective teaching pedagogy to better engage their staff. The phase included workshops supporting local enterprise capability development in areas such as enterprise planning and administration, strategy implementation, social enterprise and volunteer management, marketing and branding.
Over 100 participants were trained in this programme with another 300+ indirect participants
