The module begins with an overview of the earth and its component systems (atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere) with emphasis on geographic and geological processes (plate tectonics and weathering). Students will then examine the impacts of anthropogenic climate change on the natural environment and explore how society and existing technologies can help deal with them.
