This module discusses the impact of the environment on the health of human populations and introduces the principles of epidemiology to students. The principles, practices and standards of sanitation in relation to the protection of public health will also be covered. Students will have the opportunity to explore the epidemiology of food-borne diseases in Singapore and address local retail food hygiene issues.
