This module will equip students to make rational selections of drugs for both individuals and patient groups.
Students will review therapeutic case studies and practise applying clinical practice guidelines, role play patient counselling scenarios and conduct therapeutic drug monitoring. Topics taught cover a wide range, from common scenarios encountered in retail pharmacy settings to those related to chronic disease management. Students will learn to optimise drug therapies and patient outcomes across a broad spectrum of medical disorders.
Students must complete A371 Pharmacotherapy and Pharmacy Practice, A233 Pharmacology and Toxicology and A373 Pharmaceutics before taking this module.
