This module equips students with fundamental concepts, tools, and applications of modern systems engineering. Students will be introduced to the role of systems engineers in a complex project, acquire knowledge of key activities in a system life cycle process, and perform systems engineering activities with model-based systems engineering. Using the Systems Modelling Language and hands-on practice in class, students are equipped with the essential modelling, analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting skills to analyse the structural and behavioural aspects of a complex system.
