Congratulations to SUSKIN’s Wong Sok Wei and Ong Kai Lin from RP School of Management and Communication, for winning two awards - Grand Prize Champion and People’s Choice Award at the Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow 2020 competition. SUSKIN aims to produce a sustainable substitute for leather by tapping on biomaterial engineering. Vegan leather created out of food waste will allow consumers to enjoy the same functionality of real leather.
Arising from its success at the competition, Suskin has also attracted the attention of potential investors and partners, including Samsung and Microsoft. OED and SUSKIN's mentor, Ms Amanda Cheok, will be supporting the start-up to take their business to the next step.
