OED organises many programmes to connect aspiring entrepreneurs among RP students, alumni and staff with government agencies and industry partners, such as venture capitalists, incubators, accelerators, business angels, and established entrepreneurs. These programmes include:

iDARE Entrepreneurial Challenge

The iDARE Entrepreneurial Challenge aims to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and equip students with key business skill sets. This RP-wide competition recognises innovation solutions that have meaningful impact or address real-world challenges and issues.

Entrepreneurship Week

This is a week-long event that celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship in RP. It encompasses a series of talks, workshops, competition and activities that are aimed at inspiring the RP community to unleash their ideas and take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.

Entrepreneurial Immersion Programme

The Entrepreneurial Immersion Programme or EIP is a 20-week internship where students can form teams to develop an idea/product/service with the goal of commercialisation or going-to-market with their work.

Before the start of each EIP, participants will be equipped with important entrepreneurial skills such as creative thinking, work ethics, and being resourceful through a Bootcamp. Mentors from both SMC and the participant’s school will be appointed to guide students through the EIP learning process.

Open Innovation Challenge

The Open Innovation Challenge is an initiative that aims to draw creative ideas from students and leverages on the expertise of RP staff to collaborate with these students to build effective solutions.
