SkillsFuture Funding Grants

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents* may receive subsidised course fees under government funding schemes. The final payable amount is determined in accordance with prevailing funding policies and may be reviewed and adjusted annually.

For Individuals

SkillsFuture Funding

  •  Up to 70% of course fees. 
  • Applicable to:
    • Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents (Aged below 40) 
    • Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) Holder


SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy

  •  Up to 90% of course fees. 
  • Applicable to:
    • Singapore Citizens (Aged 40 and above)

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can benefit from higher course fee subsidies for all certifiable courses supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), including Academic CET courses offered by the Polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

SkillsFuture Credit

Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset course fees for eligible programmes. Visit MySkillsFuture – SkillsFuture Credit  to view your available credits and eligible courses.

You may use your SFC for payment only within 60 days before the course start date (inclusive). For instance, if your course starts on 9 December 2024, SFC payment will be available from 10 October 2024 onwards.

Enhanced Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises

Post-Secondary Education Account

This scheme allows students to use PSE Funds to pay for Tuition Fees as well as other fees. Singaporeans or students with Singaporean siblings who have Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) may apply. PSEA is not a bank account. It is administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and is automatically opened for all eligible Singaporeans. You can find more information about PSEA here.

RP Bursary Application for Part-Time Diploma Students

Government bursaries are available to help Continuing Education and Training (CET) students enrolled in RP's Part-Time diploma programmes defray living expenses.

The bursary is valid for one modular semester. Eligible students only need to apply once at the start of the Academic Year (AY) (July exercise) to be auto-awarded a bursary in subsequent semesters within the AY (November or February exercises).

  • Singapore Citizen
  • Be enrolled in a full qualification part-time diploma programme*
  • Have a Per Capita Income (PCI) ≤ $2,500 or Gross Household Income (GHI) ≤ $10,000
  • Not a recipient of a full scholarship or company sponsorship
  • Excludes Specialist Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and other modular courses.

* Includes students who have completed the Work-Study Programme and doing additional modules towards a full qualification part-time diploma.

Students will be invited to apply for bursary during the application period. Details of application procedure will be provided in the bursary invite email sent to STEP registered email. You may refer to the Application Guide for steps required to complete the application.

Note

  • Bursary will be used to offset any outstanding fees due to RP (which may include course fees for the new semester).
  • Students are required to re-apply for the bursary each Academic Year (AY).
  • Students are encouraged to apply for bursary in first semester of AY (April or June term). Successful applicants under this application period will be awarded the same bursary quantum in the second semester of the AY (October or January term) if they meet the eligibility criteria above.  

Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme

The Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme has replaced the Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme from 1 July 2020. There will be no course fee subsidies for WSS.

National Silver Academy

National Silver Academy (NSA) has been offering seniors aged 50 and above the opportunity to keep learning, pick up new skills, and stay connected through lifelong education. At Republic Polytechnic (RP), eligible learners can receive up to 50% subsidy for selected short courses at RP.

The eligible courses are:

  • 黄金年华之健康饮食
  • Enhancing Well-being Through Outdoor Connection
  • Caregiver Basics
  • Discover Xperiential Learning Centre for inclusive outdoor programmes
