This module equips students with the competencies to design, secure, and manage scalable enterprise networks connected to the Internet. The module covers IPv4 and IPv6 routing, network protection using ACLs, VPNs, IPsec, and NAT, alongside performance optimisation through Quality of Service (QoS). Through practical lab sessions, students will develop proficiency in network troubleshooting and gain exposure to automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform to streamline network operations. The module emphasises cybersecurity principles and best practices in network design, fostering the ability to build resilient infrastructures aligned with industry standards such as Cisco CCNA. By the end of the module, students will be prepared for roles in enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure management.
