This module equips students with applied competencies to install, configure, and manage Linux operating systems within networked environments. Through practical lab work and terminal-based exercises, learners will gain experience in user and group management, system resource monitoring, software package deployment, and secure remote access. The module also introduces virtualisation technologies and container-based application deployment to reflect current industry practices. Students will learn to optimise system performance, automate administrative tasks, and implement resource-efficient configurations — preparing them for roles in systems administration and cloud infrastructure management. Upon completion, students will be ready to sit for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification examination.
