Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) events generate one of the highest carbon footprints from travel, energy consumption and waste. Within the MICE ecosystem, stakeholders need to address the challenges of climate change through advocating sustainability in their business strategies and operations.
This module is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders in co-creating sustainable events and memorable experiences. Students will learn how to create sustainable events through understanding challenges and issues, and develop solutions to make a positive impact on the environment.
The initiative to gear towards creating greener events is also in line with United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and Singapore Green Plan 2030 – a national movement to tackle climate change.
