FEBRUARY 2021 — RP is going on full throttle to support the aviation sector’s recovery with industry partner and visionary, dnata Singapore (dnata).

Envisioning a Brighter Tomorrow

RP and dnata have a long history of spearheading impactful initiatives. Together, we ensure that RP graduates are well-equipped when they enter the high-flying aviation industry.

Partnering dnata gives students internship opportunities and exposes students to final year projects with real-world experience.

dnata’s engaging talks and insights provide industry perspectives for students.

Since 2019, 11 students from RP’s Specialist Diploma in Aviation Management and Services have been employed by dnata Singapore. dnata is supportive of our comprehensive SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme which ensures those interested in the field acquire the right skillsets and receive extensive on-the-job training.

Forging Deeper Ties

On 18 February, RP signed an inaugural Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with dnata. This MOU cements our collaboration with dnata, whose education-centric focus nurtures local talent and pipelines talented graduates into the aviation industry.

The MOU was signed by Mr Soh Lai Seng, Director, School of Engineering, RP, and, Mr Musdalifa Abdullah, Regional Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific, dnata, at dnata’s Cargo Centre. Our RP delegation, which included Mr David Wong, Chairman, Board of Governors, RP, and, Mr Yeo Li Pheow, Principal/CEO, RP, was hosted to a tour of dnata’s state of the art cargo facilities by Mr Sam Gould, Head of Cargo, dnata.

Through internships and joint research projects, our students will acquire valuable industry experience and skillsets, and be exposed to industry-leading technologies at dnata.
