An Introduction to Creating Interactive Virtual Experiences

Want to immediately transport a visitor to an exotic but hard to reach location? Need to orientate an employee to safely handle dangerous equipment? Want to experience the world through someone else’s eyes? Join us in this short course to learn how you can create interactive virtual experiences by using simple or low-cost technology available in the market.

You will learn to plan, shoot, and edit your 360 stories using mobile phones, cameras and 360-specific devices and software. Enhance your recording with audio and interactive elements, and share them on the platforms that best reach and engage your audience.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the steps to plan a production of an interactive virtual experience
  • Apply 360 production techniques to capture video and audio content for a virtual experience
  • Utilise 360 post-production software to assemble a simple, interactive virtual experience
  • Evaluate the degree of engagement of an interactive virtual experience for a target audience

Entry Requirement

Minimum requirement: Laptop and handphone. Good internet connection if course is delivered via Home-based learning mode.

Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic.
