Offered in partnership with the Singapore Environment Institute, National Environment Agency (NEA), this course is developed to help company staff better understand their responsibilities in supervising the safe use of ionising radiation for security screening of personnel, baggage, goods and vehicles, etc.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Apply knowledge learnt to safely handle radioactive materials and/or irradiating apparatus
Who should attend?
Security Officers or Company radiation safety officers who are responsible for the safe use of ionising radiation for security screening of personnel, baggage , goods and vehicles etc. For personnel who is responsible for screening of radioactive materials in/out of Singapore.
Certification
Participants will be eligible to apply for the R1 certificate issued by NEA upon successful completion of the course.
Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
