Republic Polytechnic (RP) collaborated with HealthServe, a non-governmental organisation, to hold the #ManyHelpingHands campaign. This project helps migrant workers alleviate the cost of their treatment for chronic diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes.

Three second-year students from RP's School of Management and Communication (SMC) partnered with HealthServe to design and roll out the online fundraising campaign. One of the students, Aisha Hasan Malik said she believed such efforts could help raise awareness of the situation faced by sick migrant workers. Aisha said, “As members of society, we should take the initiative to seek out these organisations and offer any sort of help we can. It doesn’t have to mean taking the time out to volunteer or donate money, but it can be as simple as sharing a good cause with your peers.”

All funds raised through this campaign would be matched dollar-by-dollar, up to S$250,000 by Tote Board.
