The RP Health and Wellness Hub was established in response to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH’s) ‘3 Beyonds’ Strategy and is in alignment with Singapore’s Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) 2025 Roadmap. The RP Health and Wellness Hub aims to bring healthcare closer to home and develop technologies, solutions and programmes that improve population health and enhance quality of life. Being actively engaged with community care industry partners, the RP Health and Wellness Hub is postured to co-create solutions, innovations and training that will support the health needs of Singaporeans across the lifespan, through 3 strategic thrusts.
Republic Polytechnic (RP) was awarded the ‘Friends of Community Care Award 2021’ by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). RP was the first educational institution to receive this pinnacle award to recognize organizations having achieved excellence in supporting and growing the Community Care Sector with inspiring and innovative partnerships. RP received nominations from AWWA and NTUC Health and were evaluated by AIC, Ministry of Health and Community Care Sector veterans for impact of contribution, sustained commitment, going the extra mile; and emerging an award recipient after voting by the Community Care Sector.
In 2022, RP was awarded the ‘Gold Level Recognition’ by Exercise Is Medicine On Campus (EIM-OC) for a second time in a row. This is the highest level of recognition given to any pre-university campus outside of the United States.
RP is one of only 156 universities and colleges around the world to be honored for its efforts to create a culture of wellness on campus. The Health and Wellness Expo, curation of programmes at the Lawn Gym, Colour My Diet, BRAG and RP Health Screening are just some of the initiatives that helped RP earn GOLD level designation from the Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (EIM-OC) program.
Being actively engaged with healthcare industry partners, RP’s Health and Wellness Hub is postured to co-create solutions, innovations, and training that will support the health needs of Singaporeans across the lifespan, through three strategic thrusts.
To offer Continuing Education Training (CET) Courses in Health and Wellness
To co-create community health solutions based on community needs through RP’s Community Living Lab
To develop health innovations and commercialisations with industry partners
