In this programme, you will develop technical and aesthetic skills required for commercial photographic projects such as portraiture, product, and event photography. You will find out more about the technicalities of lighting and camera lenses to produce professional photos. You will also learn how to use post-processing tools to apply finishing touches to make your photos look polished and compelling. In addition, for your capstone project, you will put together a portfolio of photographic work to impress potential clients and get jobs.

Entry Requirements
- Computer competency and literacy
- Familiarity with photography and photographic equipment is advantageous
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras and equipment. Post-processing and editing tools are provided for this course
Course Structure
The programme will be delivered through classroom facilitated learning, practical training and asynchronous eLearning.
Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by Academy of Continuing Education, Republic Polytechnic upon successful completion of the programme including meeting at least 75% of attendance requirement and passing all assessment criteria.
Module Synopsis
Digital Photography and Imaging
This module develops the skills required to capture and produce professional images for commercial purposes. Learners will learn to operate and manage tools including professional digital DSLR camera, lighting equipment and imaging software to capture, edit and enhance photographic images professionally. Learners will also develop technical and aesthetic skills for various forms of commercial photographic projects such as portraiture, product, and event photography.
Portfolio Development
This module requires learners to apply their skills and knowledge acquired in this course to create a photography portfolio that meets commercial expectations.
