This course covers 5G technologies in the areas of radio frequency antenna, radio channels, and core networks. Participants will find out how 5G compares to 4G in terms of speed, flexibility, and intelligence. Participants will also be able to explore the use of software defined networking (SDN) concepts in the development of 5G core networks. Emerging trends such as Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, and autonomous vehicles employing 5G will be covered in this course.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- appreciate the evolution in mobile communications
- understand the technology drivers of 5G
- understand the network architecture, components, and features of 5G
- explain the radio frequency and core network of 5G
- describe typical use cases and deployments of 5G
- understand the parameters of 5G through software simulation
- understand its impact and transform various industry verticals, and new business use cases
Who should attend?
Technical personnel in the telecom industry, communication hobbyists, and electronic engineers.
Entry Requirement
Some knowledge of cellular technology would be good but not necessary.
Certification
Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
