Designing the User Experience for Mobile Applications

This two-day course equips participants with a basic introduction on how mobile applications for phones and tablets can be designed with users in mind.

Participants will learn how the User Experience Design Process can be used to create effective digital interfaces which will provide users with better experiences. Through this course, you will also learn how to create simple mobile application prototypes based on user needs, which will be tested with other participants.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Analyse an existing mobile application

  • Identify elements that contribute to a better mobile experience

  • Create a prototype of a mobile application

  • Validate the idea with users

Mobile applications developers, programmers and designers.

Entry Requirement

Basic IT literacy, with a good understanding and interest in mobile applications


Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance.
