Under the Singapore Green Plan 2030, all vehicles are to run on cleaner-energy by 2030. With this vision in mind, more vehicle/fleet owners are showing interest in electric and hybrid vehicles (EV). This course provides an overview of vehicle electrification trend, electric/hybrid vehicle architecture, as well as charging standards and modes. The differences between conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) and the electric powertrain in EV will also be discussed.

Who Should Attend?
Vehicle/fleet owners, workshop managers, technicians, and individuals who are keen to learn about electric/hybrid vehicle technology.
Entry Requirement
Participants are expected to possess basic knowledge on automotive technology.
Certification
Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
Trainer's Profile
Mr Mohamed Yoosuf holds a master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Additionally, he has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. He is also a Chartered Engineering Technologist (Land Transport – Automotive (Bus). Prior to joining Republic Polytechnic as a lecturer, he was an automotive fleet maintenance engineer, experienced in overseeing maintenance workshop operation, spare part management, and vehicle procurement.
