(SCTP) Market Research Professionals

This course aims to equip learners with the skills and knowledge to conduct market research. There will be ample opportunities for you to gain hands-on experience while exploring qualitative and quantitative research processes.

To help you ease into the field of market research, this course will first guide you to identify research problems. You will then learn to write research objectives, prepare discussion guides, and design content analysis. The learning scope also covers sampling and data collection methods. 

Designed to focus on both quantitative and qualitative research, this course will explore quantitative questionnaire and focus group discussion. As a participant, you will learn how to collect data through survey interviewing, design quantitative questionnaires, analyse quantitative questionnaires, and more.

Cleaning and coding of data will also be taught. You will be introduced to various methods that can be used to analyse data. As part of the course, you will also get to familiarise with data analytics and visualisation. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences software will be used for data analysis. 

Students will also learn how to prepare market research reports. 

Upon completion, you will be well-equipped with the competencies needed to gain consumer insights through market research. In turn, improved business decisions can be made through analytics. 

Possible job roles that can be pursued upon completion of the course include marketing research executive, consumer insight executive, marketing executive, branding executive, e-commerce executive, and retail executive.

Certification

For courses with a formal assessment component, participants will be awarded with a certificate of completion for the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement. 

Entry Requirement

Participants should have some working experience. It is also beneficial to have additional technical skills that are pertinent to the market research sector. 

Participants need to be at a minimum 21 years of age. RP reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
