The Singapore Green Plan 2030 aims to transition all vehicles to cleaner-energy sources by 2030, which means that the current automotive industry workforce must be prepared to maintain the growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles on the road.
To meet the workforce upskilling requirement, the National Electric Vehicle (EV) Specialist Safety (NESS) certification has been created to provide individuals with entry-level skills and knowledge in areas such as high voltage systems safety awareness and basic introduction to EVs.
By obtaining this certification, workers will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to work safely with electric and hybrid vehicles, ensuring that they are properly maintained and serviced for optimal performance.
