Pharmaceutical and Cold Chain Management is a module selected from the Specialist Diploma in Supply Chain Management. It enables participants to acquire new skills or deepen relevant skills without the need to pursue a full specialist diploma. As this is a stackable course, participants may choose to complete the remaining modules within the validity period, of two years, to be awarded the full Specialist Diploma qualification.
This module aims to provide an understanding on the theoretical concepts and practical applications relevant to the management of cold chain, pharmaceutical, and Dangerous Goods (DG).
Participants will be introduced to the various aspects of cold chain management including cold chain operations, suitable technologies applied in temperature sensitive products logistics, and cold chain standards such as Cold Chain Quality Indicator (CCQI), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and ISO 22000:2005 - Food Safety Management System.
For pharmaceutical/DG supply chain management, participants will learn about the applications of regulatory guideline, logistics handling of pharmaceutical and DG products, as well as good distribution practices.

Entry Requirement
Applicants should possess a relevant polytechnic diploma or degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or Science from recognised institutions.
For applicants who do not meet the minimum entry requirements, an interview will be conducted to assess applicants’ qualification and working experience.
Certification
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Completion by Republic Polytechnic upon completing the module.
