RP Team Won 3rd in Brand's Suntory Innovation Contest
Four Year 2 students from the Diploma in Consumer Behaviour and Research mentored by Lecturers, Eugene Lee and Wang Wei Shyuan won third prize in the Brand’s Suntory Innovation Contest 2019. This competition aims to discover innovative ideas to develop a new product that leverages on the core ingredient of BRAND'S® Essence of Chicken that appeals to the taste and health needs of their own generation.
Despite strong competition from teams from other tertiary institutions who had deep applied science backgrounds, Team Girl Power impressed the judges not only with a good marketing plan but also with the prototypes/samples of the product that they created to attract the youth. The prototypes created were youth relevant products (developed through insights from their survey findings) like jelly, pills and essence of chicken shots. They named their products Berry Nice, Mean Green and Go Nuts.
