At RP, we are committed to embracing sustainability, and our RP Green Plan lays out the roadmap for our sustainability journey. The RP Green Plan is strategically designed to embed sustainability into everything we do—whether it's our daily operations, practices, initiatives, or even what we teach in our classes.
RP is pleased to release our inaugural Sustainability Disclosure for FY2023, marking a key milestone in our sustainability journey. The disclosure offers an overview of our sustainability initiatives, including key achievements such as being the first polytechnic and the largest organisation in Singapore by gross floor area to attain Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy (SLE) certification (as of January 2024). It also outlines our goals and upcoming plans for further sustainability initiatives. We invite you to explore the report and join us on our journey towards a more sustainable future.

Sustainability features have been an integral part of our campus since our inception in 2006. Designed with the theme “Campus in the Park”, the campus has achieved Green Mark Platinum certification. Through a series of green initiatives undertaken since 2018, we have already surpassed three out of the four 2030 GreenGov.SG sustainability targets as of 2022.
We have categorised our green goals into four key areas: Campus, Education, Industry, and Community. These pillars serve as our guiding principles, with each initiative aligning with national strategies such as the Singapore Green Plan 2030, GreenGov.SG, and the larger United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
We will continue to build a greener campus with low carbon footprint. Our focus includes reducing waste generation, incorporating technological advancements, and optimising energy and water resource utilisation.

Republic Polytechnic (RP) has been committed to environmental sustainability since 2006 with our monumental move to our Woodlands campus. Having established a solid foundation in environmental sustainability efforts, our unwavering commitment has led to consistent progress ever since. In 2023, RP boldly responded to the urgent call for climate action by setting ambitious and transformative targets through the RP Green Plan, reinforcing our support for the Singapore Green Plan and GreenGov.SG. We are immensely proud of our proactive stance and the significant strides we have made in championing environmental sustainability!
