3D Additive Manufacturing: Materials and Technologies

Additive manufacturing is the process of using digital 3D design data to produce structures. Through layer-by-layer techniques, new component designs and tailored structures can be created.

This two-day course covers the basic of 3D printing and modelling. Participants will gain practical skills to create, print and post process 3D objects using the 3D printing technology.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to

  • understand the basics of additive manufacturing
  • describe the additive manufacturing process chain
  • appreciate the different materials used and professional production techniques in additive manufacturing
  • build simple 3D models
