Airline Business Management is a module selected from the Specialist Diploma in Aviation Management and Services. It enables participants to acquire new skills or deepen relevant skills without the need to pursue a full specialist diploma. As this is a stackable course, participants may choose to complete the remaining modules within the validity period, of two years, to be awarded the full Specialist Diploma qualification.
The airline industry is constantly evolving. As such, future leaders of the aviation industry need to be well-versed in the critical knowledge, skills, and conduct required in an airline business.
This module aims to help participants develop an understanding of the business environment in which airline companies operate in. It covers the relationship between key stakeholders such as airports, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, as well as their influences on airline business strategies.
Through this module, participants will learn how to achieve sustainable competitive advantage for airline businesses. The different phases of business growth will also be discussed during lessons, with opportunities for participants to apply the concepts learnt to various case studies and scenarios.

Entry Requirement
Applicants should have a relevant (Engineering or Hospitality) diploma or degree. Applicants should preferably also have at least two years of relevant working experience.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
Certification
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Completion by Republic Polytechnic upon completing the module.
