Event Management - Tips and Tricks

This one-day workshop is designed to help participants understand and apply the Event Management Process, conceptualising, planning, coordinating and executing events. 

The interactive workshop will also provide useful tips on event branding and marketing, including how to make use of social media as well creative content to enhance event marketing campaigns.

Learning Objectives

Putting together an event can sometimes be daunting. Ever wondered what it really takes to put together a memorable event? Learn the tips and tricks in this hands-on course so that you can organise an event like a pro! 
Learn about setting the right objectives, creating awesome content, shouting out about your event and finally executing it.

Administrators / support staff in MICE industry, and/or entry-level MICE executives

Working professionals, students, or anyone who needs to plan and execute small or large scale events, as well as those who wish to increase their skills and knowledge in managing events.

Entry Requirement

This workshop is perfect for anyone who needs to take charge in organising an event, and does not require any prior experience and knowledge.

Certification

Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance.

Trainer's Profile

Tng Yanling is a passionate lecturer with 10 years of experience in the higher education industry. In the time she has been with RP, she has been facilitating modules on Project Management and Scheduling, Event Operations Management, Introduction to the Event Industry and Hospitality and Tourism Management. 

With a strong belief that teaching goes beyond the classroom, Yanling often leads students to participate in events industry partners’ events, including helping the partner plan, manage and execute the events. She has had the privilege of working with various event companies and organisations including Brain Tumour Society (Singapore), Dairy Farm Group, People’s Association, and Sport Singapore.

Prior to joining RP, Yanling spent fifteen years in the communications line including 8 years in CapitaLand and 3 years in IMC Group. Her expertise in communications covers many aspects of both external communications such as corporate collaterals, publicity campaigns and media relations, and employee programmes in the areas of employee welfare and communications.

Yanling graduated from the National University of Singapore majoring in Language Studies and Literature in English.
