About the Course
Do you want to learn how to develop effective enterprise security strategies to safeguard your organisation's assets? In this course, you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills of enterprise security, including the basic concepts of configuring network security devices, and techniques used to secure networks. The course will also cover firewalls, application gateways, the Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) protocol, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN’s). You will also learn how to secure a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) for enterprise use.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Explain the need for enterprise network defence to secure both wired and wireless networks
- Describe the concept of network zones and the proper placement and deployment of firewalls
- Configure and operate enterprise-grade network firewalls
- Implement conventional firewall security policies including the usage of Network Address Translation (NAT) and SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security)
- Implement next-generation firewall policies
- Setup a server for Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) implementation
- Setup an enterprise Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Who should attend?
Participants with an interest in and/or having a job requirement to secure enterprise networks, including network/security engineers, associate engineers or support technicians.
Entry Requirement
Basic networking knowledge is required.
Certification
Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
For courses with assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
