Introduction to Autonomous Robots Integration and Programming

The future has arrived! Robots are fast becoming a reality in consumer, commercial and industrial settings.

Autonomous robots are capable of navigating uncontrolled environments without physical or electro-mechanical guidance devices. This course focuses on the basics of embedded control systems, sensors integration and achieving autonomous robot mobility in relatively controlled spaces. 

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • set up a mobile robot using a Raspberry Pi single board computer
  • interface the robot with DC motors and sensors, and program it to perform simple navigation tasks
